Wild Oak Landscape Design
2D & 3D Design
Once we’ve had a site consultation and a clear direction has been set, the next step is bringing the vision
to life through design. I offer both 2D and 3D landscape design - each with its own purpose and benefits,
and both created with clarity and usability in mind.

The 2D concept plan is the foundation of the design. It’s a detailed, scaled drawing that shows the layout of all the key elements - things like planting areas, paving, decks, lawns, vege beds, fences, pathways, and pool placement. It gives you a bird’s-eye view of how everything fits together and flows across the site.
These plans are easy to understand and follow, whether you're working with contractors or tackling parts
of the project yourself. Every design is customised to your site’s measurements and conditions,
so what you see on paper will work in real life.

If you’re more of a visual person (and many of us are), 3D design can take things one step further.
It gives you a lifelike perspective of how the finished garden will look and feel - with depth, height,
light, and texture all taken into account. This is especially helpful when there are changes in level,
retaining walls, or structures like pergolas involved. Seeing the space in 3D makes it easier to
imagine how you’ll use it and how it will connect with your home. It can also help spot any small
changes you might want to make before construction starts, saving time and money later on.

Both 2D and 3D designs are packed with the detail you need to actually bring the project to life.
I always include all the key information needed for implementation: measurements, material suggestions,
plant species, and clear labelling of elements. This means tradies, landscapers, or even enthusiastic
DIYers can pick up the plans and know exactly what to do.

Whether you're doing the build all at once or in stages, a good set of plans makes the whole process
so much smoother. It removes the guesswork, helps you plan your budget, and ensures you (and anyone
else involved) are all working towards the same end result. My aim is always to make the design process feel simple and collaborative - and to leave you with a plan that’s not only beautiful, but totally achievable.
